A Townsville mother and her partner, who were charged with the manslaughter death of the woman's three-year-old daughter at the weekend, have both been granted bail.
Police allege three-year-old Rylee Rose Black died from heat exposure after spending several hours in a four-wheel drive parked in front of her mother's home in the Townsville suburb of Burdell on Friday.
In court, police prosecutor Tasman Murphy said Laura Peverill, 37, and her partner Aaron Hill, 29, had an argument on the way home from school drop-off when Rylee fell asleep in her booster seat in the back and was left locked in the car when the pair returned home.
Mr Murphy said police would allege the couple did not speak about where Rylee was for approximately five hours while they watched a television series inside.
He told the court the pair only realised the three-year-old was in the car when they left for school pick up around 2:30pm.
'They've turned around and seen the victim child's head slumped over, they've removed her from her booster seat to attempt CPR [and] they have then driven her to Townsville Hospital,' Mr Murphy said.
The court heard Rylee could not be revived.
A nurse at the hospital called police, and Ms Peverill and Mr Hill were charged with manslaughter hours later.
Magistrate Cathy Wadley told the court the couple were an acceptable risk of release and granted them bail.
Mr Hill will remain at his Burdell home while Ms Peverill has been ordered to live at a home in Hervey Bay.
Neither offered comment outside the courthouse.
Defence Barrister Claire Grant said Mr Hill had no criminal history.
'The allegation is one of an unintentional act,' she said.
Ms Grant said Mr Hill had two other daughters with his former wife, but the pair separated in March this year.
She said he had been in a relationship with Ms Peverill for about three months.
Detective Acting Inspector David Miles said police opposed bail on both occasions due to the 'seriousness of the offences', however bail was granted for both defendants until February when they are next expected in court.
Police investigate whether toddler should have been at childcare
Detective Acting Inspector Miles said police were releasing a list of places where the car travelled on Friday to get dashcam footage from the public as the investigation continued.
It shows the car left the Burdell home around 6:30am and travelled to St Clare's Primary School, Willows State School, Woolworths Northshore and Stockland Northshore before returning to Burdell around 10:30am.
Police said the next trip made was around 2:30pm from the home to Townsville Hospital.
'Our investigation is centring on the fact [Rylee] would be in the vehicle on these occasions — that's why it's of interest to us,' Detective Acting Inspector Miles said.
'We are putting out an appeal to the public — if any person travelling those routes has dashcam footage we would like copies of that footage — it will help us in determining time, distance and hopefully narrow down the time frame we are interested in.
'We are not ruling anything out at this point in time.'

Detective Acting Inspector Miles said police would also be investigating whether Rylee was supposed to be at childcare at the time of the incident.
There will also be a coronial investigation into the girl's death.
More than 1,000 children left in cars every year, RACQ
RACQ spokesperson Lauren Ritchie said in the past 12 months they had received 1,087 reports of children being locked in cars.
'On average, on any given day, we have anywhere between three to four children rescued from hot cars across Queensland,' she said.
'Those are really startling numbers — all of those cases are accidental lock-ins and not cases of intentional children being left in cars.
'The key reasons why include parents giving their keys to children to play with — it's too dangerous — there is never a safe time to leave a child unattended in a car whether you are jumping in to get petrol.
